hey y'all, MEAT BEAT, was a big disappointment. However, it was beyong Jack's control I think. The venue (American Legion Hall), where I think Banco de Gaia also played, has the most god awful acoustics ever! Want a review of what it sounded like?: 209u5ng3oiohihggvh (STOP MUSIC)= I AM ELECTRO, MY BRAIN IS BIGGER THAN YOURS= (MUSIC RETURNS) kv injj vvkn.>C<L>.cKFPKEPKW1 vkmvfnfo get my point? Couldn't hear crap! and I went to the front and the back rows. Terrible. The stage lights/visuals no big deal. One good thing, many people warned me that it was going to be a show off DAT however this night was all live too bad you couldn' hear it! Loop Guru on the other hand were worth my money! For those who have seen them, I think they do put on a good show dancing all over the place, banging their drums. They too were hurt by acoustics. However no one left the building when they were on stage. Once Jack Dangers got on, a number of people were headed for the door. DJ Spooky, uh well I think he went to sleep for 20 mins of his set as he let a Reggae album play itself. Then his records just stopped. There'd be 30 sec time outs between records and stuff. Finally towards the end of his set he got back in the swing of things playing "weird" shit on top of dope MO' WAX style breaks. Cool, but not nearly enough. ONE LAST NOTE: Hello to the girl from UCLA who recognized me wearing my IDM shirt! later gil gmv500@earthlink.net
