sorry for the crosspost (yeah, as if...), but:
does anybody have an explanation for the apparent discrepency in remix
credits between the city slang and thrill jockey issues of the third
tortoise remix 12-inch, featuring spring heel jack and jim o'rourke? if
memory serves, the city slang version listed the o'rourke remix as a "jim
o'rourke vs. bedouin ascent" remix, whereas the thrill jockey version just
credits o'rourke for that track...stylistically, the track sounds like it
could have some definite bedouin ascent involvement, but you never can
tell...best of the three so far, btw...
also, lemme give props to the new bundy brown/doug scharin/james warden
side-project, _directions in music_, just released on thrill jockey. i like
this better than the second tortoise record!
