Why does melodic = poppy? Mike P.'s Jake Slazenger stuff is definetley more upbeat and melodic and not as dark as his earlier recently rereleased stuff, but that's the whole point of the Slazenger moniker. Wait and see what he puts out as mu-ziq in a couple months. Anyway, it's impossible to satisfy all of the people all of the time, as you can tell by some of the reactions on the list. Somepeople think the hardcore-super fast-distorted breakbeat old school rephlex stuff is a bore while others totally love it and think they've sold out now. Oh well.

You can't expect C. Jeffs to keep putting out the same record again and again. What's wrong with doing something different? The Kinesthesia ep's are great, but the music on the first one is like 4 or 5 years old now. Let the poor guy move on. And if you don't like the Cylobian Sunset or Loops & Breaks LP's you'll like his newer unreleased stuff even less. Anyway, Cylobian Sunset is my fav. album of the year after Feed Me Weird Things. //"'' //''resh Live and Direct from the G-Spot Orange County, California, USA
