i stumbled onto the kaman leung 12 a couple of months ago, and i'm sure
glad that i did! totally deep and dark hiphop/downtempo. and like
everything on dropbeat, i'm not at all sure what speed it's supposed to be
played on ("33/45". . .what the hell is that?)
on a semi related note, the guys at drop beat used to run an excellent
mailorder record shop with all kinds of good techno, house and drum and
bass. i used them exclusively for about a year and never had any
complaints. once they called me during peak hours to tell me that finished
copies of some rec that i had ordered were in (i had ordered a white) and
asked if i would prefer to be sent a finished copy! after that i was
hooked. . .unfortunately they soon closed their mailorder to concentrate on
the label :(
