What with all this talk of trainspotting disease and warphlexism i thought i'd
throw in a few things (well, maybe only one -- it's 2:45 am) that i am not
sure has been mentioned yet.
it's dj vadim's "ussr repertoire" on ninja tune (okay okay, i realize ninja
might be just behind warphlex in the running but indulge me). it's definitely
for those who are beatheadz on the hip-hop tip and those of you who (like me)
are sample sluts. vadim nicks everyone from black sabbath (which i wouldn't
have recognized the bassline were it not for my closet metalhead boss) to a
speech from the pope...with 26 or so tracks i can't say that everything is
a winner, but there's certainly enough stuff on there to keep you amused.
there's even a track called "buggin out" that's got the most perfect minute
or so snippet for your answering machine.
i don't think this album is due out until october, but i know that IDMers
usually find a way. :)
