Well, first off, it's not "trip hop" or "idm" or "acid jazz" or any of
that -- Dr. Octagon is merely some pretty damn good hip hop with
excellent DJ work (doesn't Q Bert do some DJ work on this record?). As
people have previously mentioned on this _very_ list (the last time
someone asked about the quality of this album *cough*), Dr. Octagon is
none other than Kool Keith of the late Ultramagnetic MCs, and he
managed to engage my interest for the entire album with his
well-put-together and often quite humorous rapping (unlike most recent
hip hop *wanders off into moaning digression about how hip hop has gone
downhill, things were so much better in the old days, kids these days,
etc.*).
