i'd like to quietly agree with cameron et al on the direction of the list... i read the list in order to find out about good music, and because i haven't got the money to buy every record i hear about. therefore it bums me out to see ten posts guessing at who woodenspoon is *without saying a thing about the music*. also, i realize that it doesn't do much good to sit on the list and only get records which people on the list talk about, so i try to find other resources and find records in other ways. as a corollary, if people ask about records which they've heard of elsewhere, it's not fair to bitch them out since they probably don't have them. is that not obvious? anybody else think g3 has too nasty a temper? i do appreciate the warp info very much, btw. (puts marshmallow on a stick) anyhow, i recently picked up the locked grooves comp. on serotonin, which is excellent. neat stuff, well executed. i sent john selway a pesky email asking for info and he told me a bunch of things, including: 1. next on serotonin is a Synapse EP (synapse = selway + jason bpmf) 2. a cd is out on disko b by the Rancho Relaxo all-stars, which is a large collective including a bunch of NYC/Tension-related people and also some inter- national types incl. the Sahko posse. anybody heard it? :) nick
