I am interested if anyone has any information on a certain avante-garde experimental dark ambient/noise artist who recorded in the 60s. His name: Harry Bertoia I have heard few of his ultra-limited and rare records and have been utterly stunned by his vision. He did all of the music in natural environments and used metallic _tubes_ to generate a lot of his sound. Clark Warner and Matthew Hawtin of Plus 8 occasionally play these in their sets. Here is all the information I have now. All of these LPs were released on the "Sonambient" label, are around 20 years old, and extremely collectable. If anyone knows anyone who maintains an URL regarding this music, I'd greatly appreciate it. Anyhow, for now..... A Harry Bertoia Discography --------------------------- All And More/Passage (12") Bellissima/Nova (12") Continuum/Near And Far (12") Energizing/Mellow Tops (12") Gong Gong/Elemental (12") Here And Now/Unknown (12") Ocean Mysteries/Softly Played (12") Space Voyages/Echoes Of Other Times (12") Swift Sounds/Phosphorescence (12") Swinging Bars/Vulcans Play (12") Unfolding/Sounds Beyond (12") Unfolding (CD) Again, please note that this is an incomplete discography. Thanks to a friend, Frank, who helped me compile it. If there's anyone out there who's got any of these, or has more information, I'd like to speak with you. Also, if anyone is on the Ambient list and could kindly forward this there, I'd appreciate that also. Take care. Horsepower The Mechanical Pulse
