To all those concerned about the media's waxing influence on idm,
Positive or negative, it's happening!
NBC played a Chemical Brothers track during their coverage of the Olympics a
few days ago; I'm surprised none of the rest of us trainspotting wankers have
mentioned it (did I miss a digest?). It was during one of those cheesy athlete
biography thingies where they describe the trials and tribulations the
participants had to go through to reach the Olympics, etc. This particular one
pertained to some cyclist or something, and they were playing "In Dust We
Trust" in the background (I'm pretty sure that was the one, anyway). It's not
the first time I've heard them on national TV, either. The first time was a
few months ago when "Chemical Beats" provided the backdrop to a Microsoft
commercial (if you're unaware of this, it's understandable. I only saw it
once!).
It would appear that at least SOME TV execs have finally developed a sense of
taste; perhaps _they_ would consider taking jobs at Mtv?! A kid can dream,
can't he?
What's the point of this post? Nothing, really. I just want people to start
mailing me again, DAMMIT! (*sniff*).
Btw, Nick..., and whoever else is curious, the Basscadet on the last segment
of the "Motion" video is the _first_ track on Basscad,ep, BCDTMX.
