The article featured on the cover of today's Detroit Free Press about Richie is
just superb. Not only is this a huge brick to add to the growing monument of
published words allowing techno music and parties to reach mass attention, but
the article gave techno a very good image to those unaware. As soon as I heard
the rumor at 8:00 this morning, I got my ass out of bed (a SHOCK at that hour),
sped to the local party store, and have been in a great mood all morning.
People: This is what techno needs--recognition. Richie is one of the most
selfless musicians I know, and he wants everyone to hear the music, in his
lifetime, however he can. He even put the INFO LINE in. There were also
quotes in this article from Submerge, Merideth Ledger, and even Richie's
parents. Respect was paid to his influencers.
New trend--techno artists getting on the public mic. Oops, sorry--not a trend.
Techno=Future. Keep supporting the new generation of stars. Everyone who
