Yes, I know. I posted my thinking of going after I'd read the Global Headz
Web page that talked about the postponement and the shit they've been going
through about it. The salient point being that the current dates they
postponed it to are ... Labor Day weekend! 3 days for Big Chill, 3 days off
for me! What a lovely coincidence ...
Meanwhile, I've been working at a consulting job at UCLA and I just came down
there yesterday for the first full day of it ... and when I took a dinner
break, I wandered around below campus a bit ... went into both Tower Westwood
and Pennylane's ... obviously they both suck, but I walked out of them with
both the June and July "The Wire" (including the free CD from the June issue)
and the July and August "Muzik" (including the Mike & Rich interview pisstake;
where's that July 25th Aphex "Boy/Girl" single then g3? (-: ) and the new
August issue of "Future Music" with the mu-Ziq and Black Dog tracks, ...
AND, to top it all off, hidden in Pennylane's HUMONGOUS Techno/Dance/Acid Jazz
section (read: about 50 CDs total, tops) ... Andrea Parker's "Melodious Thunk"
EP, on CD yet!!!!!! Waiting for me to rescue it from bargain bin oblivion!!!
