i've been lurking for seven months now, and i just came back from europe
where, in addition to picking up Plug 1+2 for a mere pound and seeing Jan
Garbarek for free, I found a compilation from '89 on ffrr entitled
'Silver on Black.' It features cookie crew, d-mob, frankie knuckles among
others...any information on this one?
While I was in Munich, i dropped into a large chain store called World of
Music...Like many chain record stores, they had their own magazine which
they were giving away. Expecting this to be essentially bought and paid
for by the major labels, imagine my surprise at finding not only a
featured review of 'das ist ein groovy Beat, ja?' but also a mini review
of ...weird things! I guess the publicity departments at Warp and
Rephlex have been working the mainstream media???
