Just to include the application to particular music on this thread,
Phthalocyanine seem to use a combination of polyrhythms and polymetrics on
some of their tracks, especially on the Navy Warships release. I was also
listening to Mouse on Mars - Instrumentals - and that track Pegel Gesetz just
seems to have different shifts in time signatures (some audible and I'm sure
some inaudible). Merzbow also incorporated this effectively in a recent live
set of theirs I saw.
