I don't know where the Virgin/Caroline connection comes in, but "Trans
Europe Express," "The Man Machine," and "Radioactivity" are on current
repress, available sealed and everything on Capitol Records. Now, if only
the first few would get the same treatment...

Another compilation out right now is It1:Electro (It/Psychic), which while
along with every other electro comp. includes Clear (is this track cheap to
license or what?), has a full spectrum of trainspots, classics and current
descendants. Representing: Yello, Bass Kittens, Fantasy Three, Project
Future, Plastikman, etc...this one's all over the map. If you don't know
(and I didn't before I got this) Grandmaster Flash's "Scorpio" takes the
beat from "Message II" and turns it into a funk explosion that has to be
heard to be believed. All separate and turntable friendly, and available on
CD too. If you can't get this where you are, email jamie@psychicr.demon.co.uk
Also, even though their hit rate is notsohot, the ElectroFunk vols 1,2,3 on
Rhino are snapshots mid-80s electronic breakbeat history and include a
couple of Pretty Tony tracks that are otherwise unfindable. CD only, though
I've heard rumors otherwise..?
