With all this talk of video game tunes:
Any of you out there with a Sony PlayStation should try popping
the discs into your CD player. The first few tracks are usually
data; but, the tracks thereafter are usually the music from the
game.
This has yielded some funky ambient stuff from Doom, and some
wacky techno-like stuff from Ridge Racer. Can't say I know if
this works for other game machines -- although I suspect it
would since encoding music in some proprietary form would make
working with it a real PITA.
