Well spotted that man... It was me wot did those interviews, but some detail may unfortunately have been lost in the cut. To clarify: Like Paradinas and Parkes, Luke has been 'given' his own label by Virgin, which he's going to call Personal Stereo (!). It's actually for Wagon Christ material rather than Plug, but I can't see Luke spending too much time puzzling over what goes where and under what name. Mike is signed to Hut/Virgin as Mu-Ziq (no mention of High Rise - not sure if this still exists), which he's recorded some breakbeaty stuff for (much heavier and funkier than anything previous, with Plug-style fiddly edits and free-jazz samples). Hinted at an EP for this coming autumn/fall, and a new Mu-Ziq LP next January - tho' I suspect this may change. He was more expansive than I've known him to be before - spent half the interview dissing Rx for their handling of the Bluff Limbo affair, but otherwise seemed pretty happy with the way his life is shaping up. And with lots of cash for mucking about in a bedroom studio, wouldn't you be? Anyone having trouble obtaining the mag can get it direct from the address below. And while I'm on, I've got details of the next two SCRATCH events at The Spitz in London - a collaboration between the Leaf Label, Lo Recordings, and The Wire: SCRATCH #3: Wednesday 17 July 7:00 Wire Sound System 8:30 Ganger (live) 9:15 Sons Of Silence (live mix) 10:30-12 Andrew Weatherall (Two Lone Swordsmen DJ set) SCRATCH #4: Wednesday 14 August 7:00 Scratch Cinema: Locust 'The Sound...
