we might as well change the name of this institution to match the one in
the header of this message, since many individuals around here seem
incapable of expressing their views on intelligent dance music in an
intelligent manner. opinions are just that unless they are backed up by at
least a reasonably coherent logical argument replete with some evidence /
examples. making sweeping, generalistc, non-specific statements, such as
"the new RDJ / Squarepusher record is the earthly manifestation of godhood,
and if you don't agree, you are an idiot" or "i don't like the new RDJ /
Squarepusher record because it is horrible, and if you like it, you are an
idiot" is going to promote nothing more than a relentless barrage of
counter-statements that are likely to be equally worthless. regardless, bad
vibes are all we end up getting from everybody, as people get increasingly
pissed off at one another with each passing message. i therefore urge
everyone to at least try to look at things objectively before posting
messages to this list, to back up their statements with specific examples
or a coherent explanation, and to leave the blatant personal attacks out.
