Oh, "shoot the messenger" eh? Sven Väth was in town, so Mike Patrick (a.k.a. Mike Fix) decided to interview him. I don't know where/how Keoki got into the picture, but what of it?

How so? In what way?

How are Love and Rockets "hangers-on"? The drummer has been going to Techno events - indeed, even starting his own Sunday night club, with well-respected L.A. DJ Christopher Lawrence - for several years now. I've seen him at many events, including our oh-so-underground Moontribe Full Moon Celebrations. I give him props for that, not a dis like you. Who are you to judge them? They at least had the balls to release an album that reflected their current tastes and influences, an album nearly guaranteed to alienate a majority of their existing audience. Hardly "hangers-on". And what's wrong with covering Oliver Lieb? He was just in town and played 2 shows, why not cover him (yes, "Fix" is local to L.A.)? What's wrong with covering Loop Guru? And as for the Cocktail Twins, well, there was that Mark Clifford remix EP not too long ago, hmmn? As for "a half baked expressway", well, that's the music that Mike (and his roomie Simon Lamb) like, so that's what they cover. I personally see no point in wasting column inches on Industrial deadbeats, but it's not my mag, y'know? "Fix" doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't, which is a magazine started by a fan who came from the Industrial scene and now likes Techno, but who still likes the other stuff as well. I personally read the bits that interest me and ignore the rest. Not too hard, innit?

Featuring the industrial cover stars of yesterday. What a coincidence. Anxiously awaiting Cameron's magazine, - Greg P.S. Cameron, you can tell Mike how much toilet paper your copy became at MikeFix@Fix.COM.
