Thanks for all the responses to my question.
Here's another one: Why is the pitch variance
inconsistent? Some records play okay; sometimes
the trouble surfaces only sporadically over the
course of the needle's journey from groove one
to the last. There's
no consistent pattern to the problem, which
baffles me. None of the records is warped;
I checked that.
Anybody have an explanation? Thanks again.
