I think some people may be missing the point here. 'Snackwich' is one of the
most humourous tracks autechre/gescom have done. Listen to the sample at
the beginning- it sounds like one of those newsreel films! This track defies
any in-depth analysis as to 'direction' because it's just a bit of a laugh,
isn't it? Actually, in a mixmag interview they said that the clear gescom
EP is a bit of a piss-take as well. Humourous they maybe, but there's nought
wrong with a bit of humour in music- look at Dr. Rockitt.
What makes 'Snackwitch' such a humourous piece is the unlikely collaging of
that newsreel sample and Ae's crunchy beats... and it somehow works.
