My friend had a suggestion, I haven't tried it myself yet but it sounds
pretty smart:
Sample or copy a hip-hop or jungle drumloop, a rather long one. Then divide
the loop into fourth notes (or perhaps even eighth notes) and then randomly
disperse them.
