Haven't heard the new Freeform, but the Slam LP is damn cool. There's the odd bout of tr*p-h*p self-indulgence, but the straight-up techno trax are soulful and superb, while the the downtempo experimental-ish tracks are equally good. There's even a decent stab at d'n'b. I dunno if I'll snap it up, though, as I already bought the _Dark Forces_ 12" which contains my fave cut off the LP, "Life Between Life." - Matthew
