I thought it was really average, but agree that it could be more effective in a club, especially when mixed with something else. And I DO like quite a bit of acid, thank you very much (the Kosmik Kommando LP is ace, as is 808 States Newbuild LP) As for who did it, one of the tracks off the 7" sounds like something off the Cylob 12" (a long droning noise which changes a bit), so maybe some of it is by Chris Jeffs (also of Kinesthesia). The last one (really short) on the 12" sounds like Aphex, and the rest might well be Kosmik Kommie! Speaking of which, has anyone else heard Mike Dreds 'Beyond the Box' - pretty wicked I thought...

I haven't heard any of their stuff as Jak n Stepper, but the Clatterbox stuff I though was pretty good, but tends to grate after a few listens. I loved The Horns 'Villager' 12" though...

One of them is, and the other is The Horn!

The Horn is a bit more groove oriented and the tracks are a bit longer than Clatterbox. Still a good use of brashy drums and fizzy noises though.

See 'Theory of Evolution' LP notes for full Evolution Discograhy (inc Jak and Stepper)... <Chuck D vs Drexciya)

A joke, yes? But what a team it would be..... Also, is it on doublepack import at an inflated cost of about 13 quid? I though so....

Haven't seen it yet, but want it badly. Must be pretty limited vinyl...

That and the Jazz Brakes series... Gotta go now.... GB. PS Rephlex and Grant - your output is very much appeciated, and I've loved 99% of your releases so far, so keep it up and don't get bitter!
