The Los Angeles Times reported today that Orbital are considering playing this years Lollapalooza festival. If this doesn't make your heart sink, I don't know what will. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, hell, downright evil news. If Orbital played Lollapalooza it would be an utter disaster. They'd get booed off the stage, which they would probably end up playing in the middle of the day (not the best time to see orbital live), by an endless sea of American Highschoolers and meatheads who came to see Metalica and Soundgarden. It would be the worst kind of publicity for them, since they'd be torn apart by every god damn back water rock critic for not playing 'real' insturments. And of course, we'd all be forced to endure a full day of hell since we wouldn't want to miss seeing Orbital live. Even stranger is that Perry Ferrell has decieded to break off his ENIT festival from Lollapalooza and carry it on on his own. Let me say that ENIT was the worst fucking experience of my life last year. Although I was able to see Teachings From the Electronic Brain and saw Single Cell Orchestra and Freaky Chakra live, Moby performed absolutely horribly and the utterly talentless (unless you count sucking a dick) Traci Lords was alowed to 'D.J.'. And to cap it off I suffered permanent hearing dammage from the terrible sound mix.... -Fresh ========================================================================= Fullerton College claims no responsibility to the opinion expressed above (This is an automatic stamp from our Email system and not from the user.) =========================================================================
