Hi Johan.Coveliers@rug.ac.be, JCab> enthousiastic about his work.I am to my believe one of the JCab> few belgian subscribers on this list but in the idm scene in JCab> Belgium (especially Ghent) he is appreciated by a lot of JCab> people i know. Yes. I know, I know a few Belgians who are into his music as well. JCab> PS: I was wondering how the opinions are about the "live" JCab> performances by Mark Van Hoen. I love the combination of sound and visual techniques. Most of my friends just prefer to dance and don't care about the visual aspect. But for me, it works extremely well. I regard his performance as art ... intrigueing and appealing to the senses. The one thing missing is to be able to touch or taste it :-) JCab> stuff (queen, jimmy hendrix, etc) into "songs". Are there any JCab> other projects who use this technique in performing live? Thomas Kohner, who I believe appeared on the Ambient Isolationism CD, combines music with visuals. Not in the way Locust does. The last time I saw him he developed a film 'live', using chemicals, he ran the film along rollers to play in a loop, dipping into the chemicals, and thus becoming more and more visible as the music went on. I thought the idea fascinating .. Reminded me a bit of those old black and white movies .. His music doesn't do much for me though. JCab> Member of the League of Locust Promotors, You are Welcome!
