My god what do you say to yourself in the morning? We should hook you up with one Stuart Smalley. Please dont ever sell yourself and especially not anyone else short. Ive heard personal testimonials to the effects of each one of those groups you mention being so far gone during their set that they had contemplated asking for their money back. They are just people..not gods..good nights-bad nights.. Of course...you should never imitate anyone. Each one of them didn't..why do you think anyone would? > > I have some analogue pieces, but that doesn't mean I will ever be able to

Are you kidding? Get them out! Play them for someone. Could you imagine if Dr Patterson said that to himself 5 or 6 years ago? Ugggghhh!

No I dont think you ever could. You can drive a car..turn corners..but can you ever drive like Mario Andretti? Of course not. Not to mention...if you sounded exactly like guy who played last night, you wouldnt get hired now would you.

This has been a huge arguement for many many years...is a dj an artist? Those people who 'make' the music...are making it for the purpose of being heard on the radio..parties..raves. Who has lost sight of who pressed the record? The dj never does...and trust me he NEVER does, especially when they're paying $5-$20 for a track he/she thinks might make you go off.

Its a very large complex thing...dj plays track...person buys track cause he heard the dj play it...other people buy it cause they heard you playing it...go to a party and hope a dj plays it...and he does. Now are you saying he only likes the track and played it because he knew you went to some record shop and bought it? Of course not...he respects musicians prolly more than most, in fact he bought that track becuase HE/SHE liked it first..not just because he thought people at a party mike like it.

I can tell you dont know any dj's...you wouldnt say that if you did. Why can't Keoki have three cd's out? You just sound jealous. DJ's have been putting out mixed compilation cd's for years...it puts cash in his pocket..yes..but it also makes people go out and buy the tracks individually from his cd's..which in turn..yes..supports the orig musician.

I am a dj..I play music becuase I enjoy it...just as much or more than anyone else..I own thousands of dollars of music equipment..because I enjoy listening to music..exploitation are you kidding?

And you hate that dj, because he played it. You see...he really did do his job. Its his job to stir thoughts and emotions.

Well...you are doing a good enough job at it...if you are so adamant about this...do something about it.
