Are you missing the point? They are rock. They're as techno as Skylab, which isn't saying much. (imho, of course) They make no bones about being an 'indie' band ... look at their choices of bands to remix. That's the best part about them - it's fun ... and I'd much rather hear the Chem's than Baby D. (in regard to being overplayed) Yes most of their stuff sounds the same - but look at the Jedi Knights as a comparison.
