if im not mistaken, the smithonian put out a whole series of discs
dedicated to african drumming...bet ur local library has it...otherwise,
id recommend:
king sunny ade
anikulapo fela kuti
sounds of soweto series
prince nico m'barga
early youssou n'dour
early baaba maal
these should be readily available...if ur into percussion dont forget the
brasilians!
