I just got a copy of Goldie's Timeless CD from Polygram Canada... and was
quite disappointed to hear just how minimal and poppy the album was. I saw
a brilliant documentary while on British Television last year called
"Death by Bass"... they had a brief interview with Goldie with some of the
darkest, loudest... and bassiest jungle I've ever heard. Unfortunately, the
disc that was sent to me was the single CD version.... and I'm left asking,
just what am I missing on the second disc? Is that some of his earlier,
Terminator style jungle? There are some amazing moments on Timeless... but
I have to keep my finger on the Fast Forward button to escape all the
vocals.
Goldie - pioneer of bump'n grind ambient jungle house :)
Could somebody also tell me more about this Omni Trio disc on sm:)e?
