I might want to clarify this--early '80's rock groups(other than the euro synth pop groups) "sprinkled" filters of the 303 throughout their music(let me do some research for actual groups...) , but in --underground-- music, I'd probably say early NY "electro boogie" groups were some of the first to use it. Most were samples from Atari/Commodore 6400 computer games, which I believe were using the same TB transistors/chips for the game music on the cartridge. (here's something for those who have nothing to do...take apart an old Atari game cartridge, and fiddle around with the innards, see what you come up with. Maybe design your own little TB model!)
