Hmmm...I had great expectations - maybe too great - before starting
up my CD-player with Tri Repetae in it, and I'm still not sure what
to make of it.
At the moment I would probably rate Amber as their best album, mainly
because of it's great diversity; it has loads of unique sounds, and
they had tracks that were both focused and emotional. T.R. has too
many stringsections that doesn't go anywhere, and the sounds used on
every song is a bit too similar to each other. The beats
are maybe too predictable (compared to each individual
track, not compared too other groups/projects/persons/people/CDs/
records etc), and you know where the track is going at very early
moments in the track.
I've heard it about three times until now, so this is only a too-soon-
to-comment comment. I will give Autechre another chance, but as I
said I am a bit disappointed at the moment.
