I've just come from the gig. Totally caning. Autechre rule and
they cross the generation gap! (if the antics of the older
contingent were any indication). Even the dinginess of the venue
had no effect - you don't notice such things when the music is that
good. Now I have to wait an age until I can buy 'Tri Repetae';
yes, that's right - I'm one of those punters who has to wait until
things are actually released. Freeform was pretty excellent as well
- I'm definitely going to track down that release on wormsoho.
Also, Chantal (?) played Angry Dolphin and some of Hangable Auto Bulb
(I think) just before Autechre started. That's taste for you.
I'm afraid I didn't read your message until just now, so I wasn't
primed to look out for a Gundog. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I
did. Anyone who can possibly see them should drop all other
commitments.
I wonder if there are any tickets left for the show in Manchester on
the 19th...
