Mike Banks is an Irish folk singer. His first LP _Gaelic Coffee_ sold an unprecedented twelve copies in his local village shop. Despite, the sudden flurry of interest in his slow, melancholic ballads about Murphy's and the colour green, he is remaining true to his 'underground' local community - his next release will be a duet with his long-time friend Jeff Mills who will also be playing the bagpipes. Another friend, Robert Hood will be joining them on the penny whistle. Mike Banks is 84. || [CiM] || s.walley@uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/
