This is Ludovic Navarre - otherise known as St. Germain, Deepside, DS and probably some others too. He's recorded mainly for ex-label FNAC and F Communications. His old DS/Deepside techno releases are amazing (Derrick May loves them too - he said a while back that Navarre was one of the true current innovators), as are his fluffy house St. Germain 12"s. His recent releases have been the _Boulevard_ 3-part 12"s (compiled on one CD) and his forthcoming remix pack of _Alabama Blues_. This guy is *good* - my only quibble is that he has now practically disowned his techno releases to concentrate purely on the house/jazz side of things... A quick, patchy discog: St. Germain : Motherland EP (FNAC) ...that Modus Vivendi Warp 12" Nuages : Blanc EP (F Comms) ...some tracks on the brilliant FNAC compilation St. Germain : Boulevard (F Comms) - also released as 3 12"s DS : Volume 1 (F Comms) DS : Volume 2 (F Comms) ...a Deepside 12" on FNAC ...probably some more I've missed... He's also helped out Laurent Garnier and Shazz on some of their releases too. Hope this helps, || [CiM] || s.walley@uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/
