it's Plug. and you're misinterpreting the rhythms as being speedy. jungle
is an outreach of dub and ragga - drum and bass (which is what i would
categorize the Plug records as being - very very weird d&b, but
nonetheless) is an outrgowth of jungle without the ragga influence and
with more techno. think of the rhythms being slow but the percussion
being fast... If you liked that there's almost nothing like it out
these days but for some -esque stuff try A Guy Called Gerald or 4 Hero or
any of LTJ Bukem's stuff....
