I think Purple Universe is a very strong ambient record. Even its
infrequent beats don't seem to add up to IDM as much as they seem ambient.
I really like its longer tracks which endlessly subtly evolve. Headphone
listening is definitely a plus. Track 4 and Track 6 are my favorites. 4 is
a beautifully entwined melodic piece, and 6 has some cool breathy beats
that do nice things.
Overall, think it's a really good album that reveals more with each listen.
