So I hear about this blurb somebody wrote about an event in Barcelona, Spain, where Underground Resistance was on the bill. The writer has his head up his arse, and didn't check his facts or willingly lied. Underground Resistance was not scheduled for a live show. It was a DJ assault only. They were delayed due to weather in Detroit, and missed the connecting flight out of New York. They tried every optional airline, no flights. They called the promoter, who suggested that they send just Suburban Knight on the Concord (at an outrageous rate). SK went, played a good set, and came home as normal. The promoter was happy, and they are planning additional events with UR. In the article in Musik, the writer makes it out that UR was scheduled to play live and that they demanded the Concord for their flights. This is such bullshit for anyone who knows Mad Mike and the UR guys. These are the guys who are going to be going to the middle of a forest 2+ hours outside of San Francisco, asking only that their plane tickets are covered, and maybe some pork n beans and some pepsi. I expected so much more from Ben Turner. I hope he tightens up his editorial control. -- fix.er \'fik-s*r\ n : one that fixes : as : one that intervenes to enable a person to circumvent the law or obtain a political favor : one that adjusts matters or disputes by negotiation Robert Smith: fixer@d2.com 310/314-2920 310/314-2866(fax) 310/501-3279(pager) Digital Domain: 300 Rose Ave, Venice, CA 90291 310/314-2800 310/314-2888(fax)
