A bland pop band with little imagination.
I'm not familiar with the material of the Autuers, but any pop band that has the sense and courage to turn their music over to Mu-Ziq for "massive re-construction" is neither bland nor unimaginative. I only wish more bands would mince styles like this. Other credible crossovers that come to mind are Massive Attack/Mad Professor - "no protection" & Chapterhouse/Global Communication - "Blood Music Retranslated." The Golden Paliminos have also had some interesting reworkings of their songs done by the likes of Bandulu, PWOG, Bill Laswell, and Terre Teamlitz. Soon to be released will be a remix album of former Yes lead singer, Jon Anderson. The album is called the Deseo Remixes and features mixes from FSOL and Global Comm amongst others... Enough rambling. End of post. -->-Lance--- mclance@ix.netcom.com
