I highly reccomend Betty's Lament. You'll get some good melody on the a
side, which is the title track. The beat is a bossa nova variation and
the melody goes through some interesting changes. The synth tones are
quite beautiful. The b side is a more straight forward ambient track with
warm beats that do some clever counterpoint at the end.
I don't know if Bad Jazz has a web site. I found this disc in an
unlabeled bin of 7"s at a record store in LA.
