You guys ever heard about Csound ? Free Runs on a mac (even on a plus in some versions) With an audiomedia card or up it gets better (sound qualtiy) The programming interface sucks but, aaaah the possbilities It also runs on various Unix systems and IRCAM made a MAX version of it for their IRCAM workstation alas only runs on a NeXT Cube with an expensive card in it...does real time then though on a normal mac it will work only you have to program your sounds & score and then wait for the result.. the Kyma system is better at that...sure... Word has it Csound runs realtime on power macs (MIDI included) For better details (I am not a *real* specialist anybody correct me if I'm wrong anywhere) why not check a Csound site: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/music/Man/c_front.html have fun...
