I'm glad someone asked... The original mix of 'Nort Route' on Intergalactic Beats sounds like something off the Bytes LP... Very digital sounding and the blackdog stylee of shifting & changing rhythm. As you may or may not know, on Objet's D'Art, the remix is more melodic, and not relying on the main synth line as much as the melody. I still prefer the original to the remix, but I wanted to listen to the remix as well. This comparison can also be applied to the 'Clinically Inclined' remix on Objet's D'Art by Future/Past, but both mixes of this track are fairly club-friendly. I agree with the liking of 'choke & fly' but i'm more partial to the Atypic track... For those new IDM subscribers/IDM DJ's, a bit of advice... Seek the Objet's D'Art 4LP, In my opinion, a great starter pack for the more 'melodic' side of TRUE electronic listening music. It's also highly limited and sought after by 'purveyors of the fine funk' like myself... Derek Jordan
