A 505 was probably the cheesiest Roland X0X put out. Since it has the
name Roland and the X0X designation, people think it is worth something.
Basically it's a scaled down 626.
It has 16 sampled sounds. Nothing real exotic. The sounds aren't
modifiable. It has one of those LCD screens for it's pattern based
sequencer. No separate outs. It does have MIDI. And thats about it.
I wouldn't pay more than $75 US for it.
For $200 you can find one of those BOSS Dr. rhythm things, or even an
Alesis HR-16 which much more useful.
I got my 505 for free.
