It is Rob Brown, not Richard Brown, who I believe is half of Autechre. Could they by any chance be related? [(c) Private Eye] And meanwhile, Lance continued...

Like *des*, I must disagree with you on the first point - remixing a 2 year old track hardly qualifies as a "bold new direction", however unlike him I cannot take issue with your appreciation of the music, especially the Autechre mix. NB I reckon that mix plays just about as well at 45 as it does at 33, for those that buy the vinyl... Lance also wrote on Sat, 06 May 95 17:00:10 BST :

My copy is a double vinyl pack with 6 mixes in all, none of which is the original. They vary from danceable techno, like the original with the rough edges smoothed off, to very laid back and almost unrecognisable, (ie the Autechre mix))
