I had a chat to a few of my medic friends about tinnitus. Apparently it's
still very much an undiscovered country, but some people seem to be more
prone to it than others, and it is not just loud music, apparently it can
be caused (quite commonly) by compacted teeth! One form of tinnitus *is*
curable, but this form is very rare and basically an effect of another
different syndrome. So *yes*, basically, it is incurable. And yes walkmans
are the major culprits as they have shite tinny headphones in the
majority.
Just hope you're not in the susceptable group! And in the light of
Panorama's recent dope scare program, not in *that* susceptable group
either!
