: Save your energy -- it's a complete fake. I don't : know why so many people readily accepted : "melodies from mars" as authentic: it doesn't sound : like Aphex at all, not old Aphex, not new Aphex, : not anywhere-in-between Aphex. Some joker : thought "Gee, most of the old aphex tracks aren't : that complicated; I bet I could re-write some of em : and pass it off as everyone's fav underground techno : boffin!" I suppose the full gig of aphex rarities : floating around the Net isn't enough for some rabid-fan : types, and so began the MFM hype. i considered this when i was listening to the MP3's, but i thought they were of fair quality regardless / and definately better then that windowlicker track (i thought essexfobia was a better track) that was floating around years ago. and as far as aphex's "sound" / he is more often then not all over the place. the only common theme seems to be absurdity. the tracks are very listenable / thus they are on a minidisc / and no where does it say Aphex Twin. just music. klint. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
