Knowing my weakness for the Detroit stuff, especially the experimental side, a guy at the local shop put the Ectomorph 12" in my hands and I went with it. An 808 electro workout, the four tracks are facets of the same stone. This strikes me as a decent example of using the original electro sound as a jumping-off point. The label is Interdimensional Transmissions -- the etching says "Interdimensional transmissions from the intergalactic pimps". The record isn't quite clear vinyl--mine at least has dark streaks all over. It's like they just didn't color the vinyl black, as opposed to using pure, clear vinyl. I didn't find the locked gooves.
