Just skipped through the review. Is it out yet ? I just realised I didn't make a note. Also, a friend of mine in Edinburgh was telling me about a guy he knows called Neil Landstrom or Lanstrom or something who's has just got 4 deals with various companies. Anyone know about him ? He's definitely called Neil and he's about 19, and I believe he may well have played at Pure a few times or Sativa. Got Spanners at the w/e. Didn't like it much at first, but several listens later, I am totally convinced. There are some great tracks on it. The one that goes on about artefacts from the Solar System, the last one and of course most of the ones in between. The second (?) one with the funk sample sounds pretty weird : like it could be the soundtrack to a mad party on a space-ship orbiting Jupiter. Maybe I should take it easy at the weekends...... I was quite hesitant to buy Spanners because I did find Temple of Transparent Balls didn't quite live up to my expectations, having been told how great the Black Dog were. They definitely have an air about them which makes them different from standard 4 on the floor techno. I also got Intelligent Hard drive, 12", which is ok in its own acidy 303 kind o f way. I could imagine it at a club, which I think is more what it's for. Listening to it after Spanners was perhaps not the ideal moment. Bye for now Tom
