a friend asked to borrow an Orbital album because he had never heard
their sound, in the process he layed a Bjork album on me. I
remembered her from the Sugarcubes and was thinking rock band, but
guess what? She sings over electronic dance music - and it don't
sound like no stinking disco diva either. Pretty good I say.
My friend's take on Orbital - "sounds like disco".
My wife says the same about all the electronic music I listen to. "It
sounds like disco. Its boring."
It just occurred to me, "idm" could also stand for "Idiot Dance
Music", it just depends on what side of the fence you're standing.
