Not to be a curmudgeon, but this question comes up every 4 weeks or so, and it's getting to be a bit much. My suggestion: for a primer on something like essential electronica, check some web resources. The All Music Guide (http://www.allmusic.com) is a great reference for history, etc., and The Wire online (http://www.dfuse.com/the-wire/) has some great primers online. Forcefield (http://www.sonik.demon.nl/forcefield/ffffff.html) also has great archives of reviews & interviews. Bootstraps, people, bootstraps.
