I too bought the new Source Experience LP. Unusually this features
_more_ tracks on the vinyl edition - 9 in all totalling around 85
minutes.
On the sleeve Robert states that many of the tracks were created
"live" in the studio as opposed to arranged on computer, though he
doesn't go on to say which ones, so we have to try and work it out
ourselves.
There is some really good stuff on here, really quite dark and moody
in places, very trancey. Unfortunately it all sticks to the 4/4 beat
so for those of us who are becoming accustomed to more complex
rhythms it becomes a little monotonous in that respect. The pressing
is a little quiet, even considering there is over 20 minutes on each
side, but the vinyl is good quality, so cranking it up a bit was not
a problem.
Listened to Plastikman "Musik" for the first time last night too.
Part of me doesn't quite understand this Plastikman stuff, yet it is
utterly compelling. No-one else has tried copying these sounds yet.
The tinny yet rich timbre of the music is quite unique.
BTW I got a UK vinyl pressing with a "free" 12" - single sided with
Plastikman logo etched on the back. Full track listing is
A Plastique
B Fuk
Kriket
C Konception
Goo
D Marbles
Lasttrak
(E) Kiropraktor
Oldskool
How does this compare with CD/US releases?

I didn't notice this happen, but there are some very strange noises
going on in there...!
Also Freek and Ethnik off the Plastique 12" make an excellent encore
to this LP. Plastique is in a slightly different mix too.
